Gail Lawrence

Owner, Nail Technician & Hair Stylist

Gail has been the owner of Perfect Illusion since 1995. She is a multifaceted cosmetologist. Gail is a nail specialist, nail educator, hairstylist, skin care practitioner, and a licensed practical nurse. Her career in the cosmetology industry started 20 years ago.

Gail specializes in the application of acrylic nails (hands & feet) and facial microdermabrasion services.

Eddie Relick

Hair Stylist

Eddie has been a stylist in Bloomington since 1980, and with Perfect Illusion since opening day at the new location in 2006.

He has had extensive hair coloring training from Logics and Clairol in New York and Chicago. The training was a curriculum aimed toward teaching at the school and salon level. He taught many classes in schools and salons in Indiana and Kentucky.

Eddie enjoys color for fun, for blending gray hair, and for modifying hair texture.

Of course, cutting hair (whether a makeover or merely for maintenance of an existing style), is a major part of his business.

He also enjoys texture modification through permanent waving, natural curl modification and specialized keratinization processes such as the Brazilian Blowout.

His clientele is multigenerational, with an accent on family and groups of friends. Pleasing people of all ages and backgrounds is a challenge that makes each day unique and fun.

Barbie is a Bloomington native who loves everything about being here. She has been in the hair business for 16 years.

Barbie enjoys working with people. She makes appointments fun and entertaining. She excels in all forms of hair color and cutting techniques. Her specialty is permanent waving. She wants to be your friend, and will help you reach your top style potential.

Genevieve Fulwider

Hair Stylist

Helping professional women look their best, Genevieve specializes in color and cuts for today’s busy lifestyle.

In 1995, Genevieve completed the cosmetology course at Hair Arts Academy in Bloomington. she then went on to graduate from the National Cosmetology Association of Indiana, a 3-year continuing education seminar. in 2002, she received an Associate Degree in Business Administration with honors from Ivy Tech. She was also named Outstanding Student In Business

Genevieve has sharpened her cosmetology skills by competing in state competitions, and attending numerous hair shows across the USA.

Her interests include swimming, photography, and reading current fiction and non-fiction.
